Join us as we have our biggest academic event of the year! We welcome, Kevin Felstead!
Kevin will deliver his talk, “When Satan Came to Town: Carol Felstead and the creation of a Satanic myth in the UK.” The talk is about how Carol’s childhood memories were eradicated and her mind was reordered through 20 years of protracted psychotherapy. Assigned a new identity, separated from her family, a myth was created around Carol which helped stoke the entire Satanic Abuse panic in the United Kingdom.
We are very excited to have Kevin Felstead share this fascinating and grabbing story for the first time in Scotland and we would like to invite everyone along! The talk will be free for GCU Psychology Society members and £2 for any non-members, yes that's right, ANY non-members. Have some friends in other univeristies that may be interested in this talk? Bring them along, this is not one to miss!
Please book your space, member or not, and if you are not a member remember to bring your £2 for the door! If you are from outside GCU and would like to reserve your space please contact psychology@gcustudents.co.uk
The talk will take place from 5pm to 7pm on November 22nd 2017, it will be held in room M323 in the George Moore Building at Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow.
As always, refreshments will be provided!
We hope you are just as excited about this as we are!
