The last hike of the year is near!

We will summit Cairnsmore of Carsphairn to avoid running into proper wintery conditions that now prevail on the Munros (the stuff where we'd need crampons and ice axes).

 

There are 8 places available in the van for the walk, so be quick to get your ticket! If you can and want to drive down there with your own car, get the appropriate ticket and let us know if you want to take any other members with you, then we can make more tickets available.

 

Once tickets are sold out, message us either via email (mountaineeringclub@gcustudents.co.uk) or on social media (@gcumountaineering), then we will put you on a waitlist should anyone drop out (happens often!).

 

 

We will send out more information to those who go on the hike nearer the time, including a pdf with a map of the walk for you to print out, as well as exact timings and places to meet. We will supply map cases and compasses again, so that we can practice our navigation. Should have your own case and/or compass feel free to bring it.
