Events Details

The event is an international football tournament & will take place on the 1st and 2nd of July at the sports facilities of the University of Groningen. Groningen is a vibrant student city with the largest & highest playing student football club of the Netherlands: G.S.V.V. The Knickerbockers. With more than 600 students participating from all over Europe and the combination of football, good sportsmanship, and parties with live bands and DJs. The event includes two overnight stays (1-3 July), breakfast, & access to parties. The accommodation is provided by the tournament at the University of Groningen. The accommodation is for two days, 1st July and 2nd July, and includes breakfast.

Travel

You are responsible for making your own arrangements for travelling to and from the Netherlands, flights are available from many airports in the UK.  GCU Mens Football Club are planning to meet all participants in Amsterdam Central Railway Station on the 1st July at 1300. Then take the train as a group to Groningen for the start of the tournament, and return to Amsterdam on the 3rd July.

 

Equipment

Participants should bring: Clothes & personal belongings for 3 days, Football kit (shinpads & boots), a Valid Passport.

 

Health & Safety

All participants must have adequate European travel insurance prior to departure.
