In partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University, the Students' Association have created a Student Pantry on Level 0 of the Students’ Association Building. We are grateful to the University for providing funding and support to build the Student Pantry and for its operating costs during 2023/24. The Student Pantry is another example of our Student Partnership Agreement being delivered.

The Student Pantry supports our physical health, mental health and wellbeing strategic theme in our Strategic Plan

The Student Pantry was created to respond to the current Cost of Living Crisis that is affecting our students and a successfully achieved Team Objective for the Full Time Officers 2023/24

Launching the Student Pantry

The pantry is located on the Level 0 of the Students’ Association Building and allows GCU students to book a date and time slot online to collect up to ten free items such as pasta, rice, porridge and tinned food. Students can use the service once per fortnight and operates on a first come, first served basis. Please remember you need to book online first before coming to collect your items. Although the food for the pantry won’t replace a fortnight’s full shop, it will contain a number of staples that will help your food budget stretch further. Find out more>>>
