Student Voice is the main democratic decision-making body within the Students' Association. It brings together students representing the diversity of our membership to vote on Ideas, scrutinise the work of the Full Time Officers, and represent students on University Committees like Senate. Read our Standing Policy.
Decisions made by Student Voice include choosing the campaigns that the Students' Association runs and what activities and services we seek to implement for GCU students.
Alongside representatives of different student groups, membership includes open places for fifteen students. Spaces are guaranteed for students from each School, including a seat dedicated to a first-year student.
Meetings take place from 5pm–7pm on the following Mondays:
Training for Student Voice members will be on Wednesday 8th October from 1pm–3pm or Thursday 9th October from 4pm–6pm. Training will take place in the Students' Association Building, Level 2 (hybrid available on request).
All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.
This membership is free for current GCU students.
