IDEAS

Got an idea to improve GCU? Click the "Submit an Idea" button here.

Once the Idea is submitted, fellow GCU students can vote on it. If gets 10 likes in less than a year, you'll be invited to Student Voice to discuss the Idea. If Student Voice approves the Idea, it will become the Students' Association policy for 5 years AND it will be "owned" by one of the Full Time Officers or Representation Officers to lead on making the Idea a reality.

Ideas are most suitable for policy initiatives, such as the carbon emissions commitments, the stance the Students' Association should take in a strike or the provision of a bar on campus. They are also useful in guiding what the Students' Association should be lobbying GCU, the Scottish Government or Glasgow City Council on: for example, that lectures should be recorded or that mature students should be included in the free bus scheme.

TELL US

Got feedback on your experience here at GCU? It could be about your learning experience, catering, facilities etc. Tell us here! The feedback will be sent to the Full Time Officer who works in that area representing students' interests. The feedback you provide will not be made public and you can give feedback anonymously although we won't be able to contact you to find out more information or to tell you how we are using your feedback to make a change.

PETITION

Want to make a change here at GCU? Choose the "submit a petition" button here and explain what change you are seeking. Then you can share the petition with others via social media and QR codes to collect signatures.

Petitions are a great way of showing the depth of feeling amongst those on your course, in your department or throughout GCU and have been effective in making changes such as getting rid of graduation fees. Petitions on this platform can only be signed by registered GCU students so they are a more accurate reflection of the GCU community than open petition platforms.

QUICK POLL

Let us know your opinion on a hot topic. We regularly run Quick Polls to get a steer on how students at GCU feel about an issue. These Quick Polls inform how we run our services at the Students' Association as well as guide our work on representing students' interests at GCU.

The quick poll should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.

All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.
This membership is free for current GCU students.
