Many socities sports clubs groups dissertation groups spend a lot of time planning developing and creating events as part of their group
Often the unversity is used to advertise the event by the students putting up posters and flyers
Quite often I have found that posters that have been put up have been taken down and not moved to another location sometimes immediately or a long time before the event takes place
Obviously students spend their own time making these posters, and they cost money to produce as well whether it be printing funds or if they are done professionally
Can we agree key areas that posters for like events can be put up where students will be able to view them in a few places around the university or have a designated board for events this month in the SA It would mean we don't annoy whoever takes them down and would also allow students looking for something to do to have a key area to access to see what is on

I think this is a very good idea as I feel that this is an ongoing issue. The problem is that rules are not consistent across the University. Recently, I have had first hand experiences of this whist planning a liberation campaign.
Im a first year and I felt like on a crusade trying to get through that major entrance near bus station, fair enough it was a student fare etc, but I literally got a bible or something like that, I dont know if I can consider it as a flyer not to offend anyone, but I won't use it, I will never read it, and its a paper waste, carbon something waste that aparently we fight using recycled paper instead of shiny white paper in printers. And I know that when talking about flyers we can't stop people from advertisement, but allowing them to do that at the university grounds we not only allow them to feel bad for binning someones holy book, but also its like we were agreeing with them to disagree with our recycling policy. But thats just my opinion...
