UK General Election Free ID Cards and Eligibility

Thursday 18-04-2024 - 17:03

It is one of our Full Time Officers team objectives to support the Register to Vote campaign for the UK General Election to be held by January 2025.

Eligible voters will now need to show Identification, unfortunately your Student ID is not on the accepted identification list. However, the National Union of Students (NUS) has teamed up with CitizenCard to provide a FREE valid ID that you can use. It also works as a proof of age card (which normally costs £18). This is available by filling out a short form on the NUS website from the following link: https://www.nus.org.uk/citizencard

You can also check if you are eligible to vote in a UK election by visiting: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/voter/register-vote-and-update-your-details#commonwealth

We hope everyone that is eligible to vote does so when the time comes. Every vote counts!
