Read this article to find out more about being a Full Time Officer in 2016/17.

Student Elections

Each year your Students’ Association runs Elections in March for all GCU students to vote for the four Full Time Officers who will be leading the Students’ Association in the following academic year.

You can put yourself forward to be elected for this role regardless of your level, programme or mode of study. No experience is necessary as you receive comprehensive training and induction planning is in place for new officers. We have a staff team in place to support you in your role.

What is a Full Time Officer?
A Full Time Officer is a full time, paid position (currently £16,846 per year) working in the Students’ Association from June each year. You could either take a year out from your studies or start the role after graduation if in your final year.

If you are successfully elected, you'll take responsibility for improving the GCU student experience across all of the activities we run including sports, societies and student media, our vital student services including our Advice Centre, and representing our students’ views to the university and wider society.
How do I stand in the Student Elections?
