Become a GCU Department Rep: Where Your Voice Shapes the University!

GCU Students' Association and Glasgow Caledonian University are searching for motivated undergraduate students to step into the Department Representative role for the 2026/27 academic year.

 

Please note this position is open to UNDERGRADUATE students only.

Be the Bridge!

As a Department Rep, you'll be the vital connection between Class Representatives, your School, and the Students' Association. Think of yourself as the friendly neighborhood translator of student concerns! Your role will involve attending Students' Association and University Committee meetings, playing a key part in communicating the student perspective in these important spaces. And you'll keep in contact with Class Reps in your department and compile a trimester report that helps turn student feedback into positive change.

Beyond building impressive leadership skills and adding a standout role to your CV, Department Reps receive recognition for their commitment with a £150 payment in both Trimesters A & B. To help support you to develop these skills, you will receive training throughout the year.
