Our Ethical and Environmental Group believe that the university should move to completely online submissions not only to save on all the hassle but also for its significant environmental benefits.

Jodie Waite, Vice President Glasgow School for Business and Society, says of the campaign:

“Click It to Submit It is an extremely important campaign, because if each GCU student had the ability to submit their course work online as opposed to on paper then it would provide a huge benefit to both students and our environment. With over 20,000 GCU students having to submit coursework on paper, just think about how much our carbon footprint could be reduced by submitting assessments online. Moving over to online submissions is more environmentally friendly by reducing paper, but it is also more environmentally friendly through reducing the number of students that need to travel in solely to hand in their essays. Submitting online saves time, money and the environment – so please sign up to our petition today!”

“While stepping over to recycled paper is great for the environment, why are we still submitting assessments on paper instead of online, in this day of age everything can be found online, so why not our assessments.”
