It is with great sadness that the Students’ Association has learned that the police have confirmed the body discovered was that of Karen Buckley. Our thoughts are with Karen’s family, fellow students and her friends at this very difficult time.

 

Karen has been described as popular with her classmates, a conscientious team player, and looking forward to a successful career in occupational therapy.

 

These tragic events have affected all of us at GCU Students’ Association and we have worked with the University to start a floral tribute. If you wish to show your support, we urge you to bring flowers and messages to the steps in front of the Govan Mbeki Building.  A book of condolences will be available from tomorrow.
