All religions and beliefs are respected here. Where Christmas and days like Easter can be given off, why not Eid for us Muslims? We celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr to commemorate the end of the Holy month of Ramadan. It's an early morning prayer that we go to and spend time with friends and family during the rest of the day.

Is it that absurd to ask for a two days off for this? The university should really show consideration for its Muslim Community.

Too right πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½ Eid is a celebration for us just like how people celebrate Christmas, there is a vast population of muslims at GCU and its unfair how we don’t get time off for it.

Totally agree that Eid should be noticed as a holiday. GCU is multicultural university and should incorporate such holidays.
