Every toilet, almost every room (even when empty), basically every light is on on-campus all the time even all the computers are plugged in and turned on using power. GCU could reduce their electricity usage by at least 15% (min) if they were to install motion sensors for the lights and some way of turning the sockets off if not in use. Also changing the light fittings to LED would help reduce costs while providing better light and longer life span therefore less maintenance costs, major savings could mean monies available for other projects.
