Wellbeing Volunteers

  • Dsc 0062

A Wellbeing  Volunteer is a registered GCU student who gives up some of their time to help organise and deliver our wellbeing campaigns for students. (Campaign topics and dates below). Your role would include attending evening awareness sessions to gain information on each campaign theme and the planned activities and signing up for shifts to run health and wellbeing campaign stalls by engaging with students to share information and encourage participation in questionnaires and activities related to the campaign theme.

Not only will you meet students with similar interests, but through wellbeing volunteering you will learn and develop skills that are essential for graduates in any degree. At the end of the year, all wellbeing volunteers will be invited to a volunteer celebration event and are encouraged to join our flagship Student Leaders Programme.

What qualities do you need to be a Wellbeing Volunteer?

Approachable: To all students and demonstrate enthusiasm when working on the campaign stalls.

Non-judgmental: This quality is essential for all wellbeing volunteers to ensure all students who engage in our campaigns are valued and respected.

Dedicated: To our wellbeing programme and shows a genuine interest in wellbeing issues.

Committed: Gives commitment throughout the programme and participates in our awareness/training sessions and signs up for at least one shift on each campaign.
