Who are Student Leader Trainers?
Student Leader Trainers are volunteers who have completed the Development and Advance Levels of the Student Leaders Programme and wish to feed their learning forward through becoming Workshop Trainers.
What do they do?
Student Leader Trainers will be invited to attend a two day Training the Trainers Course to help them develop the skills they need to be effective Workshop Trainers.
Student Leader Trainers then deliver six Workshops over the academic year (three in Trimester 1 and three in Trimester 2).
Student Leader Trainers will also assist the Student Leaders Co-ordinator at promotional events such as Freshers and Re-Freshers.
How will you benefit from being a Student Leader Trainer?
1. You will be trained to deliver Workshops through the Training the Trainers Course
2. You will be able to advance your presentation, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and facilitation skills
3. You will be able to network with other Workshop Trainers and meet new people from across GCU
How do you get involved?
We recruit our Student Leader Trainers in Trimester 2; you can sign up online and the Student Leaders Co-ordinator will be in touch.
Recruitment is by selection through an online application.
To be eligible you must still be a current GCU student during the academic year of delivering Workshop Training.
