Description

The LGBT+ Liberation Group is here to give GCU LGBT+ students, staff, and their allies a place where they can have fun, meet new people and campaign on the issues that matter most. To contact the LGBT+ Officer, please e-mail lgbt@GCUstudents.co.uk

Over Trimester A, the group has held workshops on a number of issues including coming out, being LGBT+ in sport, issues facing the transgender community, sexual health and living with HIV.

The group has also built on the relationship between the LGBT+ community and Police Scotland, and held a vigil to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance.

In Trimester B, the LGBT+ Liberation Group will be looking more in to the issue of being LGBT+ in sport, as well as exploring the issue in different religions and cultures.

February marks LGBT History month and we will have a full programme of events lined up to celebrate this.

If you would like to get involved, make sure you become an official member of the GCU LGBT+ Liberation Group and come along to our weekly meetings (usually Wednesday evenings 6-8pm, upsatairs in the Students' Association.

It's open for everyone to join - whether you identify as LGBT+ or not - we're all inclusive.
