I would also organise events to help students regarding the supports available at GCU.
If elected, as your student president, I will campaign on the following:

I am the Class Representative for my programme and already a member of Student Voice. I am also National Union of Students (NUS), UK and Scotland delegate for GCU. I would like to thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in contact in regards to the manifesto or any suggestions.
Hey!
I am still trying to figure out why, but I guess I would like to nominate myself !!
Ok, first of all, I think it is important you know who I am …
I am hussnain ali sajjad and I'm doing MSC international management and business development from Glasgow Caledonia university london campus.
In my high school and college I was active in sports, computer science and photography. I used to
volunteer for community activities. I also learned graphic designing, videography and photography at my school level.
I was involved in fundraising for many independent and private charity organizers.
I managed to raise funds many times for underprivileged children. I was good at graphic designing so I taught graphic designing to some young students and my juniors.
If I had to describe myself I would say that I love meeting new people, being in-charge of things (makes me feel "responsible") and if I'm not typing away furiously at my keyboard, I'm usually dancing, travelling, reading or shopping.
Being a fresher, I can see how impactful the Year Representative role can be - being able to consolidate thoughts, set directions and facilitate events so as to make the stay at GCU a unique experience for everyone. Especially for those who want to reach out and need a moment of help and assistance. I am not sure if it helps but the fact that I am off alcohol actually means that I am sober most of the time, when I take decisions :)
Hey, i am Shranmayee Jadhav. I am a student in Msc Advancing Physiotherapy course. I am standing to be elected as student president as i would like to ensure that the views of all students from all faculties should be considered and taken into action. As a September intake i have seen that many students find it difficult adjusting to the new college life as well as new area being an international student and as a student representative i would be more than happy to help and show around to people and getting them adjusted. It is also always seen that the problems students have always gets neglected because of no one being around to speak up and i think being a part of student council would really help in taking the issues into consideration for the students through someone they trust in.
The things i would aim for:
Assist students during preparations for coursework and exams by making sure they are provided with right recorded lectures and coursework.
Create awareness and encourage students to take advantage of the numerous student support services available on campus.
Support mental health awareness program for students.
To ensure that all the Union’s programmes are centred on promoting the culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.
To promptly respond to complaints or challenges faced by students in their academic pursuit.
To consistently and relentlessly represent the views and interests of all students especially as it concerns their education and welfare before the school management.
I humbly believe that I have the requisite skills and ability to function effectively as President if elected. I am determined to ensure your growth and development as a student by ensuring that issues relating to your academic interests and welfare are dealt with timeously, efficiently and effectively.
My name is Syed Fazal Asghar Gillani and I am student of MSc advance physiotherapy practice. If I will be the student president of University I would Make sure to fiercely and continuously represent the opinions and goals of all pupils in favour of increased welfare and high-quality instruction.

Cleaning up Caledonian Court.
Encourage the addition of free bus transportation for older students. Plan, advocating for gender neutral restrooms at the campus's Eury Resch.

Encourage the government to provide additional financial assistance to international students.

making the campus more accessible to students with disabilities (ramps on every staircase).
· Push for more employees for the GU service for mental health and wellbeing.
Dear fellow students,
I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of full-time student officer. As a passionate advocate for student welfare, I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure that your voices are heard and your needs are met.
My vision for our community is simple: to create an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive. To achieve this, I will focus on the following key priorities:
Mental health and wellbeing: I will work to increase access to mental health resources, and ensure that our campus is a safe and supportive space for all students. This includes advocating for increased funding for counseling services, promoting mental health awareness, and creating a peer support network.
Student engagement and representation: I believe that every student deserves to have a voice in the decisions that affect their education. As a student officer, I will work to promote student engagement and representation and ensure that your concerns and ideas are heard and acted upon.
Diversity and inclusion: I am committed to promoting diversity and inclusion on our campus. This means creating a welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their background, and advocating for greater representation and support for underrepresented groups.
Academic support and resources: I understand the challenges that students face in achieving academic success, and I will work to ensure that all students have access to the resources they need to excel. This includes increasing funding for academic support services, providing greater access to technology and other resources, and advocating for policies that support student success.
With your support, I am confident that we can build a stronger, more inclusive, and more supportive community for all students.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to working with you in the coming months.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Khan
My First point is “Accommodation” for international students. As we know there is inflation and crisis for accommodation now a days, So I will be look for this first and try GCU International students get accommodation in Caledonian Court and even tie up with some other private accommodation with studio room as well with cheaper rate. With this Caledonian Court there is tween room availability, so I will request, it will allow for couple or 2-person family if one-person between them study in GCU.
International student paid huge amount of fees, and UK education system and Asian, African countries education system is far difference. When new student come to UK utill student learn, the assignment submission time come that’s why many students failed and get only two chance. I request that allow one more chance, means student get “three chance” with “visa extension”.
With this As Class Representative I already suggested and it is going to implemented now a days, Learning and Development session increase.
“Employment on campus", I will implement employment officer in University, so students can directly hire from University on campus, means direct campus interview. We will invite companies to hire our students from campus, so no need to find out job outside.
Cultural-Diversity, as GISA President, I also do in society so, as a FTO I will encourage cultural diversity with different kind of events with all student, not a particular region student as now going on.
For Engineering students, they can show their technical mind, will start “Tech- Event”, so they can show their skill and encourage for the start-up business with creative ideas.
I will do some Online extra course ties up with GCU module will increase certification for student and their development.

In other words, inclusivity and diversity are important parts of my offering. As an International Student and a New-Comer to GCU, I am confident that I can have impartial views to matters of the school and students' concerns.
As your representative I would aim to ensure that:
