Class Representatives play a vital part in ensuring a high quality student learning experience at GCU. In their roles they take feedback from students and work with staff to identify issues and good practice and to continuously improve their programme.
In order for Class Reps to be effective in their roles, we provide them with training which enables them to understand their duties and become and effective representative capable of gathering and passing on feedback effectively.
To accommodate the provision of training for the 600+ Class Reps at GCU, we are looking to recruit three students to become Associate Trainers and to deliver some of the 30+ training sessions we offer each year.
In this role you will deliver training to our Class Representatives in face to face sessions of 10-20 students. At the end of the session you will be responsible for handing out feedback sheets, gathering these in entering the information gathered online.
Payment for delivering training sessions is £30 per two hour session with Associate Trainers also paid £240 to attend a three day training course between Wednesday 29th August and Friday 31st August 2018 inclusive.
This role would be suitable for anyone who has an interest in student representation, delivering training and who enjoys giving presentations. There are no formal requirements for this role as full training is provided but some experience as a Class Representative or in another representative role would be advantageous.
