Society Spotlight: Disney

Friday 12-02-2016 - 00:00

Name: Nicola

Society: Disney President

1) Why did you get involved in societies?

I got involved in societies when starting the Disney Society because it’s something I adore and wanted to find other people who enjoy Disney as much as I do. Societies are a great way to make new friends and have fun.

2) What does your society get up to?

We have meetings twice a week, we watch Disney films, enjoy the music, draw characters, colour in, play games and other various activities. We also enjoy Disney themed nights out (which we obviously get dressed up for, fun times!) as well as our, soon to be annual, trip to Disneyland.

3) What’s the biggest benefit from being in a society?

Definitely the friends that you make, you are brought together by something you enjoy and it bonds you. It’s a great feeling.

4) If you could have any celebrity join your society who would it be and why?

Walt Disney, It would have been great to meet him, thank him for bringing us so much joy and happiness, ask about the making of the films, get his autograph, some photos, and have a good Disney sing-a-long going!

5) If your society had to be a sandwich filling, would it be a BLT, roasted-red-pepper hummus or cheese and pickle?

BLT, coz we’ve got it all!

See the Disney Society in action this spring with their showcase of Disney songs on Feb 16th!
