What does your society do?

We provide social and Continuing Professionally Development (CPD - evidence to show to regulatory bodies that they're developing their skills), opportunities for OT students and other Allied Health Professionals/Practitioners (AHPs) where relevant.


Why did you get involved in societies?                                   

I was asked to help two years ago by the outgoing committee as the Society was facing possible closure when said committee graduated and qualified


What is the best part about being in a society?                 

It's encouraged me to become more comfortable with networking. When you have a commitment to arranging CPD and educational opportunities for students, it means you have to be willing to identify guest speakers. You also learn how to organise events and delegate tasks.


If you could do one thing in the world what would it be and why?                             

Scoring a hat-trick in the Champions League final would be pretty decent, I reckon.
