As part of our involvement in the Investing in Volunteers award we have analysed the involvment of students in sports club committee, societies committees, wellbeing, nightline, freshers team and student media committees.  Check out the bullet points and table below.

Did you know....

  • 50% of all our volunteer are from the School of Health and Life Sciences. So, we're encouraging more students from GSBS and SEBE to get involved.
  • We're really pleased that international student involvement as volunteers is 10% above those attending GCU!  Merci Bien, Grazie, Danke.!!
  • Students are more likely to volunteer with the Students' Association in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year - but dont let that stop you, we welcome student volunteers from every year, especially 1st year!
  • The majority of students who volunteer are aged between 19 and 24, so we'd like more mature students getting involved in student volunteering.
