GCU Sport celebrates success with 20th Ball!

Saturday (9th April) saw our Sports Clubs celebrate the success of it's student-led clubs for the 20th time with the event being held at the City Hotel, Glasgow.

The night saw a record turn out for the ball with over 340 people attending one of the highlights fo the student calendar. Over the course of 2015/16 there have been many notable successes for the sports clubs and student athletes but only a selected few could pick up the much coverted awards.

Here is the full list of winners from the night, congratulations to all of those who were shortlisted and to the winners this year.
 

Alex Goodman Award - Rachel Crawford (Trampolining)

Ross Baillie Award - Lauren Ramage and Katrina Bevan (Women's Volleyball)

Coach of the Year - Rachael Kelly (Dance)

Sportswomen of the Year - Chloe Lambert (Athletics)

Sportsman of the Year - Craig Gorrie (Wheelchair Basketball)

Team of the Year - Netball 1st's

Club of the Year - Snowsports

 

Full Blues - Chloe Lambert (Athletics), Craig Gorrie (Wheelchair Basketball)

Half Blues - Megan Lloyd (Wheelchair Basketball)

Colours - Kelly Louis (Men's Volleyball), Lily Young (Tennis), Kellie-Rose Clyde (Netball), Beth Grandison (Dance), Gayle Obree (Muay Thai), Gemma Dickson (Women's Football), Michelle Cullen (Gymnastics), Hannah Edwards-Nicol (Women's Basketball), Fiona McHardy (Women's Basketball), Fiona Brambley (Women's Basketball)
