This week has seen student sport come back with a bang across the UK and as always GCU Students could be found at the heart of the action in Scotland!

On Sunday GCU Men's Volleyball played their final league match of the season coming out on top as convincing 3-1 winners away to Edinburgh Napier! This resulted in a strong overall Second Place finish in the league, narrowly missing out on promotion to St. Andrew's University!

Wednesday saw our Men's Rugby and Football teams back in action in Conference Cup and Queens Park Shield Fixtures. 

Men's Rugby continued their impressive season form with a outstanding 39-14 win over Dundee. The convincing performance resulted in the fixture being all but over at half time as the team returned to the dressing room with a 29-0 lead. The team are now through to the next round of the cup and retain their unbeaten season record of 7-0!

Men's Football unfortunatley fell victim to a strong St. Andrew's team losing 4-0 away in the prestigious Queen's Park Shield competition. It was a spirited performance however and the team still have an away trip in the Conference Cup to Aberdeen to look forward to. 

GCU Badminton suffered their fist loss of the season in their Conference Cup exit against local rivals Strathclyde University. The 8-4 loss was tough to take, however they travel to Edinburgh on Saturday to defend their unbeaten league record and are still in strong sted for a promotion come the end of the season! 

GCU Netball 1's and Men's Gaelic Football also have important fixtures scheduled for this Saturday! 

It is all shaping up to be an exciting end to the season!
