The 21^st GCU Sports Ball took place on Saturday 8^th April in the Grand Central Hotel.

 

The 21^st Sports Ball - which resulted in the highest recorded attendance in GCU history - was a night to remember; one full of festivities, celebration and recognition of great achievement across GCU Sport.

On a night with many highlights, one will still stand above the rest – the presentation of the Sports Awards 2016-17! Below lists all those Clubs, Teams and Students’ who were honoured on the night:

 

Alex Goodman Trophy: Ben Ivory - Trampolining

Ross Baillie Award: Rebecca Cooper – Swimming

Coach of the Year: Robbie Stewart – G-Cal Muay Thai  

Sportsman of the Year: Alec Thomas – Athletics

Sportswoman of the Year: Emma Hale – Golf

Team of the Year: Athletics

Club of the Year: G-Cal Muay Thai
