The debilitating effect of climate change and the bureaucratic bottlenecks of not finding a clear cut scope and methodology to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy resources is making our quest for climate justice a Potemkin village of some sort.

I am of the opinion that the student body and maybe the center for climate justice should start or initiate a climate change and by extension a climate justice debate on the fall out of Conference of Parties (COP ?) resolution for each year.

The topic for the debate will be in line with the resolution reached at each years COP. The debate will talk us through the resolution adopted and give a sense of whether or not such resolution is attainable.

I hope that with time, this debate will have a global outlook and lend its voice to the climate justice drive towards sustainability.
